Deception

Deception, Rejection, Criticism are words that send chills down our spine. No matter how prepared one is, it is almost next to impossible to handle even one of these.
Recently, I came across this quote ‘Problems can be a benefit, because they push you to do something different, to try something new, to improve, to be more creative, to achieve what you never thought you could.’

Sounds very motivating but does it offer any comfort? Not really! Every ‘No’ that comes our way doesn’t go without leaving a scar of some intensity. I had difficulty handling it. But when I think about it, what would I have done if I simply had a blanket approval for whatever I asked for?! I presume that would have been a greater risk.

Deception is hurtful because our eyes are opened to see the lie we once believed was true. Criticism is hard to swallow because it challenges who we are and our decisions but without critics there would never be room for improvement. Rejection forces one to look for the right door to open rather than continue knocking on and waiting at the wrong door.
Each problem has hidden in it an opportunity so powerful that it literally dwarfs the problem. The greatest success stories were created by people who recognized a problem and turned it into an opportunity. - Joseph Sugarman
So how is it best handled? With wisdom and a humble heart, we can turn around every deception, criticism and rejection into avenues of success and opportunities to excel.

‘Fear-of-God is a school in skilled living – first you learn humility, then you experience glory.’ Proverbs15:33 (Message Translation)
